i have a craze for potli bags… from a long time… after knowing that i can do it in crochet, i started trying it from long back browsing for suitable patterns and learning the stitches etc.. Finally, i landed in meladora’s Wavy Stitch Draw Bag.. Loved the design very much.. so immediately started hooking it!! So, here comes the pics of the bag i crocheted.. i crocheted with beads too… happy with the outcome!! hope to do much more lovely creations like this in future. also learnt new stitches for these, double crochet cross over stitch n decrease of double crochet stitch.. fun learning those.. Also, i just found this pattern very interesting!!! This can be used as a small carry bag too.. Kids will love it for their cute tiny things to be taken care of safely.
I followed this pattern…hope you all will also enjoy this pattern…
Oflate power cuts have become weekly. A weekly off for the eb dept in our area i think!!
Moreover, we should be highly innovative to spend time when power is off since we get bored off easily than the usual. Other than usual stuff like reading books, magazines and little crafty, chota nap, evening walk to temple n what not!! A challenging task to be more creative during these times i believe…
Coming to the interesting part of today… Today was power cut from morning 7am -7pm.
after my hubby went to office, started reading books, magazines, crocheted earrings for my
crafty mind.. After a long time, i read hindu newspaper for a long time… collected some
nice news… Few highlights of what i read:
1. Today is world beautician’s day it seems…
2. sony max remembers 75th birth annivesary of RDBurman
3. All technological updates in agriculture from a farmer in blore.
and much more… My first try in crocheted earrings came out good. accidentally, the earrings i made matched two of my new dresses… felt very happy… On the whole felt very happy to do something useful….. pics follows….
After ages, started to sew again… few years back, i learnt some
embroidery stitches… after that i have taken the needle n thread now only.. This is just a trial version of the bag… Lots of ideas coming….
With more combos to create… All will be unveiled in due course of time.
I tried this bag with the help of this tutorial… http://diarypages.net/potli-bags/
You can check out this page for details. Lovely bag they have created.
I have done this bag in a extra blousebit lying in my house….
Happy to take this as an initiative to start with such a bag….
Hope my outcome has come out in a decent way… Hope to bring more
colorful creations soon!!
