Navarathri Aarti Thali
Hope you all enjoy this post… C u soon!!!
I embroidered a ganesha for this vinayak chathurthi which took place last month end. To give a better look, i attached a felt material attached with the lining cloth. Hope this looks better now.
Before-Lord Ganesha on a lining cloth
After – Lord Ganesh attached to a felted piece
Then, i wanted to try the cap sleeve cardigan made by me. Wanted to try on a 3 yr old kid who is my neighbor’s daughter. Want to check whether it actually fits/too small/ large etc. To my surprise, it fitted the small girl perfect except that it was little small as expected. hope it would be perfect on 2yrs!! hope to try much more hereafter!! here is the pic
Cap Sleeve Cardigan
Lord Vinayak/Ganesh/Pillayar – Hindu God. He is considered as the remover of obstacles.
He is the most favorite god to many from kids to elders… This year chathurthi is going to be celebrated on aug 29th 2014- coming friday.. Wishing everyone a very happy vinayak chathurthi 🙂
This festival is celebrated in an elaborate manner in different parts of India.. To know more about the origin of festival n story, you can refer this link:
This year, i wanted to do something different for one of my favorite God Vinayak. So, i tried this embroidered vinayak with minor kundan decoration.
i drew it on a lining cloth and embroidered on it… How has it come folks?
Eye Glass case
I wanted to do a crocheted eye glass case for a while… I realised its importance when my old frame had its end… So, when my new frame came, immediately i started crocheting with my new yarn(Varadhman baby soft).. I tried first popcorn stitch… Attaching a pic of it, after seeing that, i felt i wanted to practise it more, so switched over to another stitch… And finally finished the glass case.. Next the matter of choice was for embellishment… Just got confused to what it can be.. First i did a rose with 2 leaves, since it did not work out, i did this small n cute flower like…. So happy on the end result… Do tell your feedback folks…. Thank you!!!
The latest mobile pouch is of two colours… blue and light pink… with an embellishment!!!
This time i have tried/learnt a new concept of edging in crochet…
i have done edging with pink color… A simple chain/slip stitch edging…
Planning to gift this pouch.. Let’s see how it goes….
Even though it does not give a professional look, the feel of making one by ourselves gives an immense pleasure and satisfaction..
The right side pic is for the full view of my pouch… Happy that i have started exploring the world of crochet… Lots more to be learnt… Hope you all like the pouch… Thank you 🙂
